Drone Engineer

Location: San Francisco, Bay Area

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Drone Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in drone engineering, with a focus on PixHawk/PX4 systems, and experience working with heavy-lifting drones.

In this role, you will be responsible for building, testing, and flying drones for various services. You will work closely with our team of experienced engineers and pilots to ensure that our drones are operating safely and effectively at all times.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3+ years of experience in drone engineering, with a focus on PixHawk/PX4 systems and experience working with heavy-lifting drones

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • A valid 107 drone pilot's license

  • CAD design / 3D printing experience

Drone Pilot

Location: San Francisco, Bay Area

Job Description:
The Drone Pilot will be responsible for operating drones for a variety of purposes, including aerial photography, surveying, and mapping. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of aviation principles, experience flying drones, and the ability to follow safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate drones for various projects, including aerial photography, surveying, and mapping

  • Conduct pre-flight checks to ensure the drone is in proper working order

  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines set by the FAA and company

  • Maintain log of flights and equipment maintenance

  • Analyze and interpret data collected by the drone

  • Work with team members to plan and execute flight plans

Requirements:

  • FAA Part 107 certification

  • Experience flying drones and operating complex aircraft systems

  • Strong understanding of aviation principles and regulations

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to work independently and multitask effectively

  • Proficiency in computer programs such as GIS a plus
